Input
World News geotags articles to a place, so this is a hard filter on an already-sparse index. Over sparsely-reported rural areas the default finds nothing even when coverage exists further out — widen it before reading a zero as evidence.
Asks Gemini a single yes/no per article, aggregated into a supporting/opposing score.
Sent to Gemini as the system instruction for each article — defines what counts as evidence of conflict or military activity.
Always appended, fixed:

02 Segmentation
Awaiting run
BurnScarSegmenter U-Net over the six reflectance bands, thresholded at 0.50.
-
03 Severity
Awaiting run
Classifier over NDVI and NBR statistics inside the predicted mask.
